Topic: Any difference between a celica 22re and a 85 pickup 22re?

I have a 22re with 195,000 miles on it and a family member that has a celica with a rebuilt 22re.  Just wanted to know if there is any differences between the two, is it a direct bolt-on, what I have to do to make it work, and can my intake mainfold bolt up?  Or get a 22re from a truck and start rebuilding it.    What should I do?

the celica engine is identical   if its a pre 85 celica it might not have the knock sensor but thats the only difference

If different, just swap pan and oil pickup......

Celicas went FWD in 86 so you should be fine; remember they're car oil pans with the rack+pinion steering under them so that may be an issue.

But since you got it you probably know that already so I'll be quiet now.
