My steering is binding up... HELP
« on: Feb 10, 2010, 08:40:08 PM »
hey guys. i have need some help. i have been trying to figure this thing out for months, its driving me crazy. when i lock my hubs and turn shap one way and then back the other way my steering binds  up and i cand complete the turn. i notice that if i back up and have the steering turned anyway but straight it binds instantly. i have bled the system like craz and tried all the different methods of doing so. so i feel prety confident that its not air in the lines. the binding of the steering only happends when i lock the hubs, when i unlock them... problem goes away. i have bobby long 30 splines and the upgaded iner hubsm i also have a welded diff, i replaced the iner hubs back with the stock ones, but it still binds. any thoughts out there would be great. thanks

Have some one turn the truck for you, and look at the steering to if there is anything hitting or binding up on you, also I'm assuming you have high steer?
other then that do not know  :headscratch:

Do you have hydro-assist? Nature of the beast with a locked/spooled/welded front end. Some worse then others.
