detroit in front then rear
« on: Nov 07, 2009, 11:19:02 AM »
not queit sure how to start this question. i had the stock i.f.s under my truck a year ago. with tru-tracs front and rear. since then i have sas my 91 yota and took the v6 third member out of the rear axle and but it into my solid axle and put a complete new 3rd member with detroit locker in rear. my question is since the tru-trac was originally in the rear and now in the front its operating along with the ring and pinion "as if it were in reverse" i understand the ring and pinion being weaker in front because it runs on the coast side but does it affect the detroit at all. is it any weaker because of what i have done. they dont sell front and rear tru-tracs/lockers seperate or do they? thanks guys
