If you do little on road driving go with bias, much better off road performance. Not experienced with the new MTR but the old ones do excellent in snow, rocks, street.  Mud... they are worthless even after grooving they still did not do very well.  Iroks are an awsome all around tire, I will be going with PB Rockers after my custom cut BFG's are down.

Im pretty happy with the old MTR's, im on my second set and never slashed a side wall yet. I have had TSL swampers and slashed them 3 different times. BFG mudders, 1 slashed. I generaly wheel up in Big Bear or the Hammers. The old MTR's are also the quitest for on road use in my opinion. Hope that helps

I ran 35" BFG MT's for 3 years on my DD, they were fine and now I am running 37" Toyo Open Countrys and I am happy. I have driven on the high way to the trail, on the trail and in the rain and they performed great. How much time do you spend on the trail? I drive my rig 25% of the time so I get more time out of mine. I have seen the pictures of your friends trucks and you live in Oregon so I would get a radial tire that runs good on the trail i.e. MTR anything. I hope your happy with whatever you decide and be safe. 8)

I dd my truck

I've had:
 BFG M/Ts 35x12.50x17's
Trux's M/T's 35x12.50x17's
Swamper Radials 36x14.50x15's (trail) still have these
I just picked up a set of Nitto Mud Grapplers in a trade for some Baja Tires.
The Nittos are as loud as My Swampers,
These are a good all around tire that grip very well in wet conditions, Crawl really well....
I even had to try them in mud  :screwy:

These tires impressed the hell outta me once i got past the "Mall Crawler looking tread" I have No complaints

4:56's locked front/rear 36x14.50x15's
