Float bowl Level on Weber 32/36?
« on: Oct 25, 2009, 06:43:39 PM »
I'm in the process of doing the Weber Carb mod, but upon taking apart the carb, i can't see that there is a way to adjust the float level. Please help!

There's a tab by the pin that the float is attached to. Bend it accordingly till within specs.

with the top upside down you want the float about 3/8-7/16 ish from the top of the carb as looking at it upside down

ok, so with the carb upside down and sitting on a level surface, am i measuring the distance between where the base gasket will sit and the top of the float?

thanks for helping me with this. The top is off the carb (i've been doing the venting modification). I've just finished the internal jb weld and drilling.

Now i'm installing the float and want to make sure i set it right.

So i have the top of the carb sitting upside down flat on the table, float installed. Precisely what points am i measuring between to set the float right?

thank you very much! I just came across that same diagram on redline's website.

One last question, do the stock float level settings work well with the vent/jb weld mod? I assume you would know, since i saw your input on that TECH forum "How to make a Weber climb a hill".

Thanks again
