passing smog???

Is there any way to pass smog in california with a weber 32/36 carb with out having to put all the old carb stuff back on or will i just have to swap it when it comes smog time?
SAS 2002 Tacoma 3.4L, Dual cases, Tons, Etc.

depends on where you live i know where im at in truckee there are a few smog stations that just care if there are no engine lights and it matches emissions

My 80 passed with a 32/36, but I had all the emissions stuff on and working and had it jetted super lean.  A good tip; if your weber coughs and stumbles at the lower rpm, it'll probably pass the test  :haha:

ok awesome. does it matter if i took off the egr valve and I disconnected the all the smog stuff. so i thimk i may be screwed and have to put on the old carb

yes, this will screw you most anywhere... its hard to pass emissions with disabled emissions equipment...
'99 SR5/TRD Tacoma w/5vzfe. SAS'd with 64" diamond axle (w/ long superset & ARB). about 5" of lift, 305/75 x16 BFG KM1's. Soon to come: 1.5" more lift (6.5"), 35 to 37" tire, undecided at this point., 63" F/F diamond rear, Marlin 4.7 tacobox.

Never EVER get rid of your smog stuff unless you're junking the rig!!  I pulled everything and only have 2 vacuum lines, but you can bet I have all my smog stuff sitting around just in case!

Oh yea i kept all my stuff its all ina a box in the garage. I will just have to throw it back on when the time comes. Just more time to be spent on my truck
