I have one report of a member not being able to access his user profile, however when I access it, it is working for me. So I don't know if it is my computer or his or the network, so if there are similar problems, please let me know.  

OR, if everything is running smooth, let me know POST HERE please!!

Looks like this is becoming a problem.

If this is happening to you, use the link sent in your welcome email and follow it around (don't open multiple windows away from it).

I have to run to school right now so I can't really resolve this right now.

One thing though, I am having zero problems under anyone's name. We have computers at the school, so I will log on over their and see if I get the same success.

Well, I'm in my college libary right now (I'm not supposed to be using the computers for this hahahaha   :talking: ) and even the domain name is not working (http://www.marlincrawler.com)..

It took me about 10 minuets to get the IP address for this.
If you guys want, you can bookmark directly to this page and avoid the welcoming page of www.marlincrawler.com/forum.html. You will miss the top menu bar, but at least you can bs with everone.

I suggesst maybe to bookmark it if we keep having these problems.

It is strange because we have never ever ever had any problems with the domain name (main site) www.marlincrawler.com until this last week.

I have been in close contact with the admins of the KII automotive group (http://www.vmag.com) who host the main site of www.marlincrawler.com and when ever they go to view the pages, it works for them.
So it's weird, one minuet its working, the next (like right now -11:25am Wednesday) its not.

Also, I think the log in woes as stated in the first post here only applies to those who registered yesterday or in the wee early hours this morning.

Ok, now, 5 minuetts later, http://www.marlincrawler.com is just flying on this T1 server (still in libarary). No delays, pages/pics load fine..

WTH? :ugh:

It seems like www.marlincrawler.com is being seen by each servers bridge, but then a couple of minuets later, they can not see one another...

Well, again, see the site above and Bookmark it!

I was told a 99% up-time for the forum!!

By-Scott, I think I've got it.

I think the problem was a wrong file attribute I set, and everyone who registered while that file was incorrect, their cookie recorded incorrect data.

So instead of asking everyone to clear out there cookies, I just set the cookies up under a different name.

I thought this was a problem because even though I deleted Ron, he registered back in under the same name (just can't get rid of him   :talking: ) and he still had the same problems. So I think it is related to settings per the clients end, hence, I delt away with the cookies!

Hope no one else has any problems!
Try to log in and navigate the way you did earlier today when it was giving you trouble!

I installed and tested this problem out on a very old version of Netscape Navigator (3.0) (pre-communicator).

I found a couple color mismatches and fixed them, but had ZERO problems loging in and staying logged in.

I even edited my profile.

So I don't know why a couple people are having problems and others aren't.

I am going to Moab this weekend (leaving today-Thursday) so I will not be back until Sunday afternoon.
I will also be away from any computers, so this Forum will have to due without any updates until then

Seems to still be causing some folks trouble.

I will have to dig deeper into the code to figure this one out, but I don't know if I will before I leave town (tonight/Thursday). I will be gone until Sunday.

So I am apologizing for the trouble that this problem may have/will cause you. Someone suggested to use the link that got emailed to you when you registered, and load the page from it. This, I believe, fixes the problem as long as you load from that link.

I will get this resolved ASAP and again, I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause!  :unhappy:

Hey Guys!

I've got something new to tell ya!

I found out that if I embed the forum within frames, then that can cause members to be automatically logged out if there internet settings are to high or to low. So I pulled the forum.html link out of its frames, and am making it redirect in 10 seconds (or just click on the link).

SO IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING LOGGED OFF, PLEASE POST HERE AND LET ME KNOW! * ouch, my throat *

One last thing..

If it is not working for you right now, try refreashing forum.html (http://www.marlincrawler.com/forum.html). You will get some text and it will redirect you to the forum in 10 secs. This will remove the frames which were causing the login/out problem.
