Wheel Spacers
« on: May 05, 2009, 11:12:36 AM »
I found these spacers on my front wheels only, do I need them to run the 1st gen 4runner wheels or are these leftover from the previous owner who may have had some nicer wheels on this 82? can they be removed and the wheels mounted back up or did someone remove something that is now missing that I need to replace?

Whoa!  That 1st picture make my head spin!!

What year Runner?

I'd bet an 85 runner (solid axle) wheels would fit no problem.   86 and later may/may not work without the spacer.

maybe the P/O put an ifs rear end in it and now there is spacers in the front to match the width of the rear.

the truck just has the runner wheels on it now and I didnt even really notice until we put the lift on that it had these spacers, now that I look the front tires do stick out farther lol I I will have to do some research as to what year runner wheels I have, thanks for the info on that.

it has the solid rear axle in it, but maybe you're right that it was changed at some point. I know the runner wheels on it now have an 8 inch offset so I'm hoping that can clue me in as to what runner wheels I have and if I need the spacers or not, thanks
