Anyone going to the Cal Rocs event in Browns Valley, CA this weekend? Or competing? I am not competing but I have a few friends who are. Those of us that are not competing are hooking up in Grass Valley at around 8:00-8:30 AM and heading down in a caravan. Reply here if you want to hook up and have a few beers $Beer Chug\'n$

I think we are only going on Saturday. Also after the event, we are heading to Maria's mexican restaurant in Grass Valley for dinner. They are having a huge Cinco De Mayo festival and 98.5 Rock is going to be there. Cheap tacos and cheap beer

me and my girlfriend are going tomorrow. i would say look for a bunch of tattoos but i dont think the weather is gonna be nice enough for a T. ill try to find ya

Right on ya i got the marlin sweatshirt on and i will be with a guy with two little kids, a 2 year old boy and a 3 year old little girl, most likely wearing some sort of princess dress

just got back, it was pretty sick. poured the whole time wich made for some slick condishons wich meant a lot of throttle manuvoures.

Yeah I got a few. A lot of them were ruined by water spots getting on the camera lens. It was really hard most of the day to take good shots, especially when it was outright pouring. This was my first experience trying to take action photos in the rain. Had a great time despite the poor weather.

One thing I thought was really cool is that I heard a lot of bitching from the competitors who are used to dry rocks, and dry dirt. All day it was a mucky mess which helped the local guys (who obviously knew how to deal with the muck better than the not so locals) get out ahead because they are used to it. I think WE rock and Cal Rocs need more mud in their diet...

This guy couldnt get his Jeep to start again after killing it right here. Would have been a nice climb up and over that rock if he hadnt stalled it. He had great form right from the get go

Here is a little action sequence I tried to catch on film. I saw this guy at WE Rock a couple years back and he knows how to hammer down with finesse... if he hadn't pointed out he would have easily had the best time right here that I saw.

This is a guy I have gone snow wheeling with several times named Brandon. He did pretty damn good... too bad everyone in this course pointed out by hitting too many cones.
