that bump in the 1 gen cabs...

What's it for? I speak of the hump on the rear wall, between/behind the seats. I don't see what function it serves. When I get my own truck I'll smooth it out; maybe add a few inches to have a tad more room for my tall self.

I always thought it was for strength, my old 2wd 77 yota was even worse the whole back of the cab was like that.
