Topic: 91 22RE Heats up when heater is on???

 I'm having an odd issue with my latest parts chaser. It is a '91 SWB 22RE here is the deal, new a/c RAD, new water pump, Toyota thermostat, new coolant hose etc. Everything is good barely goes over 1/4 gauge, perfect. Turn the heat selector to warm and the temp gauge will go to almost 1/2.

What do you all think?

You might have air in the cooling system. Try bleeding it. You might have a bad ground if the guage goes up to 1/2 quick when the fan is turned on.

Thanks for the reply. I tryed bleeding the system, got the air out.
The fan has no variance, just moving the temp lever will cause the gauge to increase, after a little driving, then move the lever back to cool and the temp will slowly decrease.
 Just odd, never had oneact like  this before.
