  i have complrte 93 truck got just about everything off wondering about oil if that need to be changed any other info will help

I'm doing the same only into a second gen,  and my truck is a 85 fuel injected.
should bolt in. just remember the block and head are different than the early ones
so when you get parts you need to remember.

i think also the oil pans are different but i hope it does not matter.  i hope going from 4x4 to 2wd wont work but going from 2wd to 4x4 straight axle will have enough clearance for the sump and pickup.  cool  i am stalling on my project! let me know when you are done you can do mine lol!

both of your swaps are pretty easy,  the wiring is the important part

the 4wd pans are all the same ifs and early solid axle having the rear sump

to swap, all you need to do is swap the 4wd oil pan  and oil pickup tube to your 2wd  engine, or vise versa

thanks for the info much apreciated. will put picks up as soon as i get time its my daily driver,but will definetly take my time on the wiring.harness really does not look that bad when it is out of the sheeting.
