I know on mine to get the belly any closer to flat would take either cutting my floorbaords or adding a body lift. I lowered my motor when i did a engine swap. What a mistake that was, i plan on re-doing my tube work this summer and will add a 1" body lift as well as raising the motor to get a completely flat belly.

yeah i think what im going to end up doign is a front range offroad style cross member and mount it a little different but with the same bushing idea so its not a rigid mount

I have a rotated front range crossmember with my cases pushed up as far as they will go and its still not flat. I think a 1" body lift and a custom crossmember/skid is the way to get it flat.

Check out this build; I think he DD it with the flat belly for a while? It's VERY VERY well documented as well. He did a bunch of his own fabrication and building, looks really good! And there's a dovetail there too... :D
