Help with trans

I looked in the haynes manual, and could not get a possitve match. The trans shifter and transfer shifter comes out of one plate with 6 bolts holding it down. What Kind of trans and transfer do i have???

Without more info I cannot tell you for sure. It is a forward shift w56c or w56d, or one of the g series transmissions. Do you know what year truck it came from?

Not right off the guy i got the truck from replaced it. Is there anything else i can look for to tell you?

G's have a different top plate for tranny and tcase shifters

you can go to marlin and look at the complete tranny section and see what one looks like yours. you can definatly tell if you have a g or w series by the pics.

Is this a good setup to keep or what? I know nothing about a trans or transfer.
