wow its been awhile since ive been on here. i finally have reliable internet...just got it hooked up today.
thank you everyone fer supporting me.
navy basic was a cake walk. pt wasnt very tough at all. it was mostly mind games. it deffently seemed longer than 2 months...but overall it was a good experence.
now im at a-school(tech school, mos school) at port hueneme calif. im at school fer CM...construction mechanic. its a pretty quick paced and it is a review fer me but im still learning anyway. pt is much harder here...its awesome. ive lost 25 pounds or so(including basic and the month ive been at a-school). cant believe ive been at a-school fer a month...time is flying by.
ill be at a-school untill late oct...unforfunately ill miss the roundup, 1st one ive missed so far...what can you do.
after i graduate ill be a Seabee.

ill be on marlin more...we do get quite a bit of homework though.

So you want to learn how to scrape paint off boats do ya?   Well let me tell you a little something about the Navy.    Its a whole lot of sraping paint and painting day in and day out with a few cool weekends in other countries while on your cruise.     If your lucky enough to get stationed on an Aircraft Carrier then you get to see some pretty cool airplanes and have a little more space.

Do you know what NAVY stands for?    Never Again Volunteer Yourself.

But I will still commend anyone who volunteers for any armed forces.    :usa:   Good luck.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

He gets out toward the end of this month, and I guess he's going to Lemoore.  Gotta report and in process for about 2 weeks, then its back to the same old same old for a while for him.

No basic is a cake walk, if you are going in the Navy get used to swimming there is a lot of it.

Congrats Rich!

I was stationed at NAS Lemoore for about 2 years. It was back in the early '90's, and I've heard it's changed quite a bit since I was there. Used to be just a hole in the wall that you'd miss if you blinked driving by. Hanford was bigger. Haven't been there in 15 years+. Unless the base has changed a bunch, they've got a pretty good auto-hobby-shop set-up so you can work on your truck. There's not much wheeling locally, but you're not too far from Fresno which will take you to (marlins shop) and close by Shaver Lake area. We had formed a 4wd club there, but not sure if it still exists.

Hope all is well with school!

Erik
