:twocents:also, my module is grounded;were it mounts to the body or bracket, there is a ground wire from the module mounting screw to groung good luck!
Ok, so my truck cranks over just fine but with no spark. I'm pretty sure I toasted my coil last night hooking it up to 12v on the positive and to a ground! It was hot and now has no primary continuity....So I have a gm hdi ignition module. The distributor is hooked up to one side and I hooked the other to a good ground and a 12v. I know that this is a simple process but I don't understand how it works? Should I tie the ground from the coil (a new one) to the ground coming off of the ignition module? Also can I splice the 12v going in to the ignition module with the 12v into the coil? It's a simple system but I just can't get it?? thanks.
