Wild Fires Around Dusy Trail
« on: Jul 13, 2004, 09:43:57 PM »
We're planning to run the Dusy this weekend, but have heard there are some forest fires around Shaver Lake.  Does anyone know whether these fires are in the vicinity of the Dusy Trail..........and whether the Dusy Trail is open for travel?

Appreciate your comments........

No the fire is not effecting Shaver Lake or Dinkey Creek Roads yet I came down from Strawberry Lake the day the fire started and the only road closier was cressman rd . at the top of 4-lane.

You should be cool, they were supposed to have %100 containment this morning and the fire was about 6 miles below Shaver and Dusy is a good 35-40 miles out of Shaver.
