« on: Apr 18, 2008, 12:20:55 PM »
OK so my my fuel pump stoped working over night. i went out to my truck this morning to find out the problem. the efi fuse was blown. (15 volt) i replace the fuse and the truck fired up. it ran for a min then i shut it off. i just went outside i few min ago to start my truck up and it wont fire. so i check that fuse again and it was blown. (the brand new fuse). what is causeing my truck to blow EFI fuses?

Sounds like the fuel pump is starting to fail and taking out the fuse..........

If you can, plug in an amp meter into the fuse location and see what the current draw is...

can this wire have anything to do with it? this wire is under the dash. next to the fuse box. and its not connected to anything. maybe it could be the problme.

it has a fuse in the middle of the wire too.

I think you mean 15 amp not 15 volt ???

Check your 02 sensor.  I had the same problem with my EFI fuse blowing, and it turned out to be the 02 sensor wires laying against the exhaust, melting off the coating on the wires, and shorting out against each other.
