i am trading a motor for a tranny and the tranny is like 50 or so miles away and i was hopeing that thire is an easy way to find out what tranny it is like some numbers or something to figure out what it is.

what year is your truck? then i can tell you what tranny you have. and then ask the guy your buying the tranny from what kind it is and then if its the same. then it will work!

Could you be a little more specific? We could narrow down what you will be looking for if we knew approximately what year the trans in question is.

hey yall, i also got the same problem. im tryin to put in a 3 liter 7m straight 6 in my truck. i got  the 3.slow in it now. its a 94 yota pu. i aint sure if my tranny will bolt up to that motor or not.

no it wont mont. you need a addapter plate.
