When I pulled the motor out of my 88 to put into my 85, I used the 85 harness. I stripped the 88 block down to a long block with tins and just swapped all of the 85 stuff over like injectors. I found this easier than trying to adapt a different harness to my current setup. :twocents:

gotta jsut pull the harness

if the 85 is trashed then i would highly recommend using the harness form the donor, then you wont run into issues of oh well this one doesnt match that one, etc....

Cut off the plug and put the 85 one on. Thats why I kept my 85 harness so I would not have to mess with it. Hope ya get it figured out!

What is wrong with the 85 harness?

Also, if your going to use the 86 engine with the 85 harness & ecu, you have to use the TPS from the 85.
