dual tcase won't mount back up! help!
« on: Feb 18, 2008, 04:05:58 PM »
well, just tried putting in my dual tcase up, and the it goes in but there is a 1/2 in gap that i can't get to close up.  the crawl box the i have i built from a doner 79 that has the splines in the shaft that are supposed to be ground down.  i ground them down, not all the way but pretty far, and it still doesn't go in.  any suggestions?   :help:

well ya gotta   grind the part on the 79 input  that  rises  from the other splines, or it will never  go together

i did, but how far am i supposed to grind it?  i ground it down to where the long sharp points of the splines are completely gone and its now almost smooth and it still won't go in.  am i supposed to take it down all the way to where the splines are gone(the sharp pointed ones) and it is smooth?  thanks for the reply glen
