Topic: tps will cause truck to run way rich??

heres the deal.... my truck smogged almost perfect... then crashed truck and sat for a year.. then sas'd my truck ''used to be 2x4''  and went to go smog again and it fails as a GP and is running really rich... onlything i can think of that i did was ''try'' to adjust the throttle body... the tps got screwd up and i tried to adjust it to what i thought was good.... theres a fine line were it can be set to were the revs dont go up and down by themselves when gassed... were it is at now it runs fine..... but the question is if the tps is not adjusted correctly could it cause my truck to run righ and get me a gp? its high on hc's..

have you done a tuneup? how old is the oil? i do plugs wires, run the engine hot then take the test, change the oil, set the timing, new fuel filter, cheap gas


what are its numbers? gross polluter can be 1 point out of the max allowed....


have you tried to adjsut the tps? or the afm?

did oil, air filter, plugs,wires,cap  the hc meas 177 max is 133 gp is 320 the co meas 2.69 max is .85 gp 2.15.............. thats at 15 mph... pretty much the same story with the 25 mph test....
