tranny problems
« on: Jul 12, 2009, 07:30:46 PM »
Alright so i got a 87 4runner and it originally had a auto and i swaped it out with a manual and and now the clutch is not fully disengaging, i put a brand new clutch and slave cylinder as well as a new clutch disc pressure plate throw out bearing.  It seems like theres not enough throw in the slave cylinder. Are there different slave or clutch cylinders that would cause that? I really don't know what else it could be, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Brandon

ya i did that a couple of times i made sure there was no air in there. I was also thinking maybe i got the wrong pressure plate like the 1600 lbs instead of the 1200 lbs but idk would that really matter?
