Much better battery and come in a number of sizes. I am on my fifth year with dual PC-1200 and they are still going strong. Do a google search and you may find a better price.

First, I do not think that Optima's are made as well as they used to be. My friends that have gotten them in the last few years have had many problems with them. I have one in the shop that I bought 8-9 years ago that I can still charge up and it will hold a charge.

The biggest thing I like about the Odyssey is it is a true dry cell. I have also talked to a vendor that I trust very much, he is more like a friend then a vendor. He told me that they have been tested by many different agencies and have always come out on top. They are the only batteries that most of the top agencies of the government will use in vehicles that must go when the key is turned no matter how long the sit idle.

In the five years that I have had mine, it would not start once. That was my fault because I forgot to turn off my CB and it sat for a month before I went to start it. I flipped the switch on my battery controller and it started right up. When it is time for batteries in my CDT Dodge and my H-D, they will get the Odysseys.

Not that much of an expert on then, the only one I have had is the PC-1200. You might want to give Kodiak Industries, Inc Gilroy, CA. 95020 Tel: 408-591-1029 a call and see what he recommends.

97 Chevy K1500 4" w/ 33's
89 Chevy K5 (Trail project, w/ a huge parts pile)
06 Hummer H3 stock w/ 33's

Do not know, have not priced an Optima in over five years. I think I paid about $150.00 apiece for mine five years ago.
