so I had this other regulator sitting around and I just hooked that up, turned it all the way on low, and cracked the valve on the tank and its coming out like all the burners are on extra high. looks like i have to go to the diner for food now.

probably won't explode as long as all the pane is being burn't but you may run out of a bottle fairly quickly.
