Downey makes a bikini top and I think WabFab sells a partial kit if that would work for you as well.

Are there anyother companies that make soft tops for 4runners.  I tried to pull up www.Specialtytopco.com, but it did not work.  Maybe their server is down at the moment.  Are there any other choices, other than the can-top?

The can back tops are really nice!  As they should be for $1,200 + Shipping.  So unless i make my own, there are really not to many options out there, huh!

Not really. You can do a bikini on the cheep...that's about it. Sure, you can fab, but what's your time worth? I actually got mine used for $550.

Roger Brown (4crawler) has a neat write up on modding the kayline top...http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/SoftTop/index.shtml

If you have not checked out his site, you should. One of the coolest 4runners in history. http://www.4crawler.com/4Runner.shtml

So, are there any companies out there right now other than can back, that have a premade, complete soft top for a 4runner?

I have been looking & right now it's Can-Back or find a used one. I would be happy with getting a frame & making the rest.

Thats what i was afraid of.  I found a used kayline that is in decent shape.  So i am going to pick that up then, and start saving for the can back (b/c they are such a nice top!).

Do you know where to get them.  I was just on best top's website and can't find anything for 4runners.  They have stuff for tacoma's, cruisers, but nothing for 4runners!

Send me a link if you know where to get them.

Jay
