Strength of W59?
« on: Mar 01, 2007, 11:26:12 AM »
How much hp and torque can a w59 handle? I have searched the net and have come up with very little. The only little bit I found says that the w series of transmissions can handle up to 300 hp. I don't know about that.

Personally, I am wondering if it will hold up to ~250 hp and ~300 ft-lbs of torque. Is that possible? Will it go ?

Sorry for the lame response question, but here goes.

Which motor is in front of the W59? is that the 22RE or the 3RZ?

I've seen W-59's and W-58's hold upwards of 300rwhp no problem... just dont drag race it everywhere.  the synchros are generally the weakest link.
