you  would  be  best  going with  2 topshifts,  but  on the back of your R150  you will need a  30-4gt,  adapter  to go to the  gear drive tcase,   if  you WANT  to keep your stock chain drive tcase  you would then need a MC10 adapter  but personally  i would go dual  gear drive

thats sweet,  but  to mount that to your  R150  you need the 30-4gt,  i think,  just make sure you tell them when you order  its going behind a v6 tranny

I know its a bit hokey, but heres what I did to convert my $35 ebay forward shift T-Case to top shift.

If I had it to do over again, I would have found another top shift case or shift fork(Which I am still looking for by the way ;)), just because of the time I spent dicking around with it. It is plenty strong though, I slammed it back and forth as hard as I could and its still holding up.

You must use a top shift style gear drive t/case behind any V6 Toyota 4WD transmission, regardless if single, dual, triple, etc. cased.

the key stock is there (im guessing) cuz he used that case as a crawl box.  It keeps the shifter in it's hole.

I imagine you are trying to convert a lowrange forward shift rod into a topshift rod, correct?

Do not cut at the lower red line near the shift fork.

As for the upper red line, there should also be a divit above it which is not shown in your drawing. You want to cut just at the base of this divit. I don't have time to make a drawing, but if you look at the rod, you should be able to see where the rod reaches the front face of the reduction housing.

Ideally, what you should do, is put the rod and everything else back into your forward shift case. Then shift this rod into HIGH RANGE. In high range, the shift rod is moved as far forward as it will ever go. Then make a mark on the rod right at the front face of the reduction housing, and use this mark to make your cut after you pull the rod back out.

Yea, the key stock is for if its a crawl box. I did just what BigMike said. With case assembled, shift into HI range and mark rod at front of case. Remove rod from case and cut on fork side of line to ensure rod wont hit anything when shifted into HI.
Since you said that you had a top shift and forward shift case you could always measure the shift rod on the top shift case, but its a lot easier to just mark the forward shift rod before you pull it out, and then cut it.
When I did mine, I didn't pay attention and welded the shifter slot too high. So I had to clearance the shifter finger  and the rear of the shifter hole in the case because the slot was too far back.
In the end I wish I had just waited for another cheap top shift to come my way :smack:, but I was too anxious to get my case and box assembled.

EDIT: I don't recall the differences, but I don't think you can do this with  the 2wd/4wd shift rod/fork.
