Topic: 3.4L V6 Tacoma Engine into an FJ40?

Hey Guys,
I have a some what stock 75' FJ40 with a sick 2F.  It has the Australian 5 spd. Transmission. (Same bolt pattern/bellhousing as stock 4spd.)  Have you ever seen or heard of anyone mating the 3.4L V6 Tacoma engine to the stock cruiser transmission?  Is there an adapter needed/available?  Any info would be appreciated,

What did you end up doing with your Cruiser? I think I would just try to find a Tacoma 5 speed manual tranny with the 3.4 V6. That way youll avoid any issues with adapters, clutches, and hydraulics.

um heres an idea i have a tacoma ,i drive it daliy  i have a 350 v-8 fj40 a 1975 that i hardly ever get time to finish but i'd rather it be my daily driver cause it whipe the tacomas arse  hands down . go test drive with a v-8 land cruiser b4 you start a pess poor project that will end up on the parts page . i'm going to start up a page on here call "thats just wrong" my 2 sence too bad i can't swear on here i have to mispell the cuse words , sell me your cruiser and go get a tacoma you know you want to jim.
