springs spreading
« on: Sep 13, 2006, 06:33:53 AM »
I installed new springs in the rear of my 4 Runner and after every trail ride the bottom two leaves have worked them selves sideways.  At times they go so far that they hit the backing plate.  I retorqued the U-bolts and they are fine but I still have the same problem.  Any thoughts?

Rivit some spring clamps on the bottom leaf.

Use a hose clamp to hold them in place.
