timing question
« on: Feb 06, 2006, 04:38:12 PM »
I went to go and put the light on my 4runner today ('85, 22RE). and i did the whole paper clip trick in the socket, and my understanding is after that is done the engine rpm's are supposed to drop. well that didn't happen. and i checked and made sure the wires weren't boken, and the circuit tester light came on. so i'm not sure what else to look for. anyone have any ideas on what to check and make this work? thanks.

if i were you i would look into the tps being out of adjustment cause i would always try the jumper wire and it woulnt lower rpm's , then i releized that my tps was way out of wack and i fixed that then did the timing again and it made my motor run like brand new. If you want to no how i adjusted it email me at jeffrey.bononcini@cvw14.navy.mil, peace, its because im on a aircraft carrier and i dont get internet that often to get to the site so please if you need help just email me. peace jeff
