Weber Carb on Federal Truck?

Hey everybody. I got a truck that has emissions set up for federal, not California. I now know that i can smog it under fed standards, but I want to know if I can slap on a Weber Carb and get it to pass smog, or should I keep it stock for smog and slap on the Weber afterwards. Oh yeah Im in Ca

Keep it stock and throw away the weber!  There's 1 cfm flow difference between the two, and the stock carb is much less of a pregnant dog at steeper angles.  Webers may be ok for street or desert, but they're not made for inclines.
