MC wallpapers copyrighted?
« on: Jun 22, 2006, 12:27:41 PM »
Ok i know this is a strange thought to post.  But are your wallpapers copyrighted, Because i was looking at them and the lineart crawler caught my attention.  I do CNC programming professionally and thought it would be a fantastic thing to engrave into a piece of material.  Not that i have any intention of selling them, just thought it would be sweet.  And thought i'd run it by you guys to make sure it was ok before i run it.  Thanks for the input,   bob

Yes, all of our Logos are copyright by our artist. I have seen a couple of people using our logos, but we have never given permission for this.

If you are going to sell these, then we would need to come to some agreement.

Would you be willing to email Marlin your cad file when you are finished?

yeah i can do better than that, i can send him my cad file and the cnc program, it isnt actually your logo.  It is one of your wallpapers,  the one that is basicallt a lineart crawler on some rocks.  I dont plan on selling it or them, i just get bored and cnc is what i do.  So when work doesnt have anything challenging for me i look for something fun to play with.  Anyway i'lll send marlin the files in a few minutes.

Any image/photo/video/painting is automatically copyrighted to the original artist by government laws.
I'm sure the artist wouldn't have any problem with you putting their art into a different medium though.
