OK SO i have an 82 p/u short bed 35s and a headache of a 4.3l gas sucking pile i have a 22r and a 5speed tranny laying around and I'm wondering if it would be worth swapping it back to the 22r if it will get better then 10mpg any info i would love to hear it

yea the 22R will get 15-20 depending on gearing

the 4.3 carbed? it should get better than 10 if its F.I.
my 4.3 blazer got 18 pretty regular and it weighed more than a first gen toy.
