Complete Newbie Question
« on: May 04, 2006, 06:47:26 PM »
Ok, so since I'm a newbie again, I feel I can ask this stupid question. :shake:
Having never owned a 4Runner before this one, I have no idea...but....

What is the tallest (not necessarily widest) tire you can fit on stock 2001 4Runner with stock wheels? :stopit:

I don't mind pizza cutters, just want the height for less snow plowing next winter.

Stewped Newbies! :talkingn:

Been there, no help, still looking.
I'll try PBB, I'm pretty sure the answer is there somewhere.

Daily Driver yes, but I want a set to swap out for Yosemite trips during the winter. When I went up this winter I was pushing snow with the front bumper.

I have 31's on it now.

I've seen em with 32s that I don't think rubbed, but I doubt you'd be able to go any taller without some trimming.

32's with enough offset so they won't rub. Ther rears would be the most concern since the fronts don't travel anyways.  Stupid noob!

my buddies got a 04 tundra and 32's rub on it.  my guess would be a 4 runner would have less space under the fenders.  go to your local tire shop and have them stick a 32 up in there and see what it looks like.

I knew a guy that ran 33x9'50's on a mostly stock 85 4runner and didn't rub.
