IFS steering gear box with stock push pull parts
« on: Mar 19, 2006, 03:22:05 PM »
Last year I saw a 83 toyota with a ifs steering gear box and no crossover/hi steer. Everything else looked stock. My mind/memory fails me. I didn't see how he did that. I want to do the same in preparations of going to crossover. But, my 1980 toyota is my daily driver and would like to go in steps.
Does anyone have info on how that is done? I understand the mounting part of the IFS box and what needs to happen. Just not sure how to hook it up to my j-arm.
Anyone info would be grand!!!!
Mike
Thought I would post a pic of my truck. Just finished with my rear dovetail.

I've seen many people make their own histeer. some of them said they ordered the bars from marlin and had just wished they made their own bars to. the only reason to buy one complete is strength and reliability. (witch is pretty important )
I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~
