v-6 rear end upgrade

i have a v-6 rear end sitting in my garage, is this a bolt on upgrade for my 86 4-runner,
or do i have to use the guts in the 4cyl. axel? :turtle:

I would have to say it should be a bolt up fit or you could just put the third in the 4cyl housing. You will need to clearance the housing a bit for the third to fit.

If it is an IFS rear it will be wider than a non IFS.

his 86  is IFS  so  yes  it should bolt right in

are you planning on useing the entire housing or just the 3rd??

that depends,  if both your truck and the donor rear are stock   then most likely yes,

the v6 housing i got had larger center pin holes then my 4cyl housing.
89 ext cab sas with diamond +4 1/2" housing 30 spline longs and hub gears, hp elocker, six studs, arp studs in everything, taco rear with elocker. swaped out 22re for 3.4l supercharged, urd 2.0" pulley, urd fuel management, downey headers, flowmaster, cold air intake, marlin clutch that is straining to hold up
