Big trannies?
« on: Nov 24, 2005, 09:55:16 PM »
I found a couple of heavy duty truck trannies for a good deal.  I have no idea what the ratios are or just how big these things are.  Does anyone have any info on the NP542?  The other tranny I'm not sure exactly what it might be yet.  Its in an 87 F600.  Guy says it may be CL450, CL550, spicer 5500 or spicer 6000.  I have no clue about these so any info would really help me out.  All in all, if anyone knows something that would suit my needs, let me know - any manual tranny that's very stout and has the highest overdrive as possible (but cheap  :-\\ ).
