My new bumper
« on: Sep 17, 2005, 03:34:28 PM »
So I made this in a few hours, didn't mess up once.  I didn't have a jig setup, so when I started tack welding it together, a few of the uprights pulled the horizontal bars so they aren't perfectly parallel.  I tig welded all the tubing together, and mig welded all the brackets for mounting it to the frame.  I was able to use the stock bumper mounts, slightly modified.  I made new ends for where it actually mounted to the bumper.  I used spray on bed liner to paint it.

If anyone wants one, I'll make 'em and sell 'em for $150.

I'd say the upgrade forum and you'd have hit a homerun.

i would be worried about catching the corners on something. we have really tight trails up here though.

i prefer to keep my bumpers a little shorter.
