Topic: Blocking Off EGR

Truck is a 84 pickup with 22R, Im in NY and the truck is older than 25 years old so it does not have pass emissions AND Im running the engine off LPG.

Now my question is, I have a cracked exhaust header so Im replacing the header. I dont need the EGR to pass emissions, nor have even a place to hook it up to my EGR, so how do I block off the EGR so Im not dumping exhaust gasses into my engine bay. Still new to the Toyota/22R scene so dont kill me if theres a simple fix! Haha.

On my 88 22re I made a plate out of metal and bolted it up. I think LC Engeingering makes a block of kit if your skillz are lacking.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll have to see what I'm really looking at tomorrow. Went to put on the new header and noticed they gave me the wrong gasket. It's the tear drop type not round like mine. D'oh!

If anyone was wonderign how to do the same thing...

My buddy just plugged the EGR openings with some TiG pool welds in the tubes. It can probably be done with a MiG too. Cut the tubes, ground the mounting side flat, and bolted them right back on. Works great!
