I was wondering how big of tires I could fit on my 81 with no lift. I saw a chart that says 31x10.5's but i'm just making sure. Thanks yall

31's will fit no problem and with those big wheel wells, you might be able to fit 33's  :o l

33's would be a tight fit without any lift, I have a 3" lift and it is close and I rub turning. I probably would be ok with a bigger offset on my rims though.

Tub the firewall 3" do a small bit of fender trimming and 33's will fit on a standard 8" wheel with no rubbing.  I ran 35's on a 2" lift with 10" wheels with very little rubbing.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

with worn out stock springs, my 31" LTBs(comparable in height to 32s with most tires) fit fine.  33s would definitely fit my fenderwells, but would probably rub a bit when turning and definitely on compression.  that's why i'm gonna slap some 3" springs on the front and put longer shackles on the back...

hey guys remember Nick is 16 and we dont want him rolling because we got him hooked on getting 33's and then a lift:smack: ,   Nick   32's would be your best bet,  i have 32-11.50's now and when my truck gets motivation again i'll get some ltb's 33-13.50's but lift wil not ever go over 3" cause i have a lead foot, and drive like Nascar,
so my suspension is stiff,

also 31's or 32's wont kill your drivability   aka  the stock gears will be ok,
