22R Carbs
« on: Aug 28, 2017, 07:28:14 AM »
I am trying to get a huge pile of junk carbs for bits and pieces when I rebuild them for myself and others.  If you are junking a stock carb let me know via PM and I will give a few bucks and shipping for it.

A thought: you might also consider getting a Taig lathe and/or milling machine. I have both and they have been great for making small parts that no-one sells any more ... such as might be found on a 22r carb.

Their website is: www.taigtools.com
There is a dealer who has a bunch of good stuff about the Taig machines on his webpage: www.cartertools.com

Alternatively, if you ever need some small machining job done, I have some tools already, in addition to a small aluminum foundry that used to be a propane tank. And you know how to send me a PM...

If you can afford it, you might also consider an old Atlas or South Bend bench lathe. Bigger=more useful=more $$$.

I need a tool to drive valve guides. Just a piece of maybe 1/2" mild steel rod stepped down to the size of a valve stem with drilled out spot on the end you drive.  Want to make one?

Sure. Do you happen to know the diameter and length of the valve stem?

Not yet. But I can figure it out.

I need a good working carb for a 79 20R.  Do you have anything?

I have three or four parts carbs out here also that I am willing to part with. Email me at lamkinranch@gmail.com please! I don't always get on here.

Thanks in advance.
