T-Case Bolts
« on: Aug 22, 2015, 09:14:11 AM »
Hello everyone,

I've picked up an r151 transmission and the gear driven t-case along with it. However I don't have the bolts that are used to fasten the t-case to the transmission.

After some measuring I've come to the conclusion that the bolts I should use are M10x1.25 @35mm length. I used vernier calipers to measure the ID of the t-case threaded holes (referenced the numbers I got to a thread chart min dia. of internal) and to measure the length of bolt required to go through the tranny flange and deep enough into the threads on the t-case. I used a metric pitch gauge to find the pitch of said threaded holes.

My first question is if anyone can confirm if these are the correct bolts I should order?
My second question is what style bolt I should use in regards to the head (flanged) and do they require lock washers/ washers at all?

If someone could post a picture of the heads of the bolts on their setup it would be fantastic.
