Has anyone done a fzj80 axle swap under a 89 Toyota pickup extended cab. What kind of frame reinforcement do I need to prep so that I font break the frame.

I have jf80 axles under my 85 4runner, different truck but same type of work. Doing a frame plate from the front cross member to your body mount at the fire wall should be all the extra reinforcement your frame will need.

OK cool thanks for the info, could you post some pictures. Did you keep the coil springs or did you leaf spring the axle?

I checked out your build, if there was one thing that you would do Different what would it be ? I want to min max my downtime

I am in the process of collecting parts for a font 3 link. There is very few things I would change, except possibly notching the housing to "french" my leaf spring pads to sit as low as possible.
