86 T4R / 1UZ Swap / 93 T4R Cluster
Been doing a lot of cluster swapping around due to my particular swap. I have used an 87 T4R SR5 cluster, 99 T4R SR5 cluster, and now 93 T4R SR5 cluster. My issue is, when I start the car the check engine comes on for 2 seconds and then slowly dims out. It does NOT stay “ON” and goes off completely once the engine is running. There are no codes found. There is no charging issue found. Engine runs perfectly like a Lexus and super strong. I have gone thru the FSM for all cluster years and I can’t seem to find a problem or a trace of a problem. I started this swap with the Lexus SC400 cluster and never had this problem. I vaguely remember the 99 T4R SR5 didn’t have this problem in the beginning stages of the swap. I am stumped and coming here for your expertise. Any ideas or sense of direction would really help. Thanks.
