I've seen them in a first gen. It's a very tall motor though.

I feel like Toyota builds are the coolest with small motors and crazy gears.  I think a 4BT Scout Rockwell Buggy is where it's at if you want to do something with  that  motor.  :dunno:

Too many of those..

I really wanna see a 4BT in a Toyota based buggy(I believe I ran into 1 on Pirate a couple years back..but havent searched for it since then)..but non tuned up..just a stock 4BT with a stack out da back.
Long as you don't Lead Foot Louie iteverywhere you shouldn't break too much stuff. :crossed:

Fair enough... You make a good point.

Hahaha... yes! :gap: This is totally an interesting idea.

Are you thinking about running tons with it? It seems like just the weight of the motor could be an issue with toy housings?
According to http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.php?Number=349548&page=3 a 22RE Weighs around 375lbs fully dressed with fluids.
According to http://www.4btswaps.com/forum/showthread.php?1558-Weight
The 4BT clocks in at nearly double that:

4B3.9, 679 pounds 4BT3.9, 705 pounds 4BTA3.9, 725 pounds
