ifs hub difference

OK peopletold me there is a difference between the ifs hub and the solid front axle hub please enlighten me. pictures would be great

Spline count or something that has to do with the hub gear its self.  You can take a ifs hub and put longfield gears in it and then they fit a solid axle.

ifs 27 spline, solid 30
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

thanks for the input tgmaul88 id be lost without it! thank you guys big help i have a few ifs hubs laying around i guess i just need to get the  gear for my 85 front

Yeah all you have to do is change your hub gear out and then it is the same as a solid axle.  I bought longfield hub gears to put in my solid axle then used the ones I took out in some IFS hubs.  Now I have two spares. 
83 pickup, 4.88s, chevys in rear, RUF, Dual Transfers, flat belly, 3RZ swap, disc brake x4, rollin on 36" irocs
