W56 Noise (HQ Audio)
« on: Apr 12, 2012, 08:03:17 PM »
I recently changed the oil in my 4X4 W56 transmission and T-Case with Redline MT-90 GL-4 and after a few hundred miles my transmission is making some new noises. Anyone help me out here?

The oil change went well, both T-Case and transmission are filled to the proper levels. I am not sure what kind of oil was in it before I changed it though.

Wait for 5th gear is sounds like an ice machine  :shocking:

I'm hearing mostly engine............

How many miles on the tranny?

Take the shift boots off (so you have a hole in the tunnel and can see the tranny)

Take a trip around the block and listen..........
