1996 3RZ 2.7L Motor/manual ECU/harness
« on: Dec 19, 2010, 02:26:13 PM »
i got this motor with big plans to put it in to my rig but its not happening i need $$ to fix my rig now

i got this motor off one of the members on hear about 1 year ago  just dont have the funds to go on with the swap now.

i was told win i got this motor that it came out of a 1996 tacoma. was rebuilt top/bottom -stock rebuild- "professionally" about 30K ago(166K total original mi.),  Then the thermostat froze and it overheated- either blew the head or head gasket. Ran strong till then. Engine was pulled from truck at that point.

It is complete except for oil pan, radiator.

All accessories included  PS pump, alternator, clutch fan, flywheel, starter, full intake, exhaust manifold, valve cover, charcoal can, stock clutch, distributor, , etc..

Includes full motor harness and fuse block, full cab harness and fuse block- all uncut with connectors, manual trans. ECU

Obviously- this engine may need some head work or may just need a new head gasket.

im in SO-CAL
$$550 OBO

Ya but, yours probly ran. I'm still thinking about it. That overheating could be expensive to fix.

NO, say its not true!!  Your not gonna do the swap??   Sad to see ya sell it off, i had high expectations when you picked it up. ;(

As stated- this engine was professionally rebuilt top to bottom prior to an overheating at ~30k post rebuild.  It overheated- never seized or hydro'd or anything exciting. Limped home a few miles.  We then pulled the motor and did a full swap.  Everything from the engine bay is included minus the oilpan and radiator.  I cannot say whether the head or just a HG is required, we never opened it up past the valve cover and oil pan.

Good Luck with the sale and the one who scores this ought to have one sweet deal.
