83 pickup engine bay/throttle bracket picture

Like the title says I need a pic of a totally stock engine bay on a 83 pickup. To be more specific I need a picture of the throttle cable bracket . Mine is bolted to the valve cover it just dosent seem to be right. Thanks

I have an 83 and mine is bolted to the valve cover also.  Stock location

Can I get a pic it just dosent look right the way it setup my cable is kinda cocked a little bit Which i can see causing it to bind/fray if not fixed.thanks

it should be bolted to the intake manifold.  I'll get a pic.

Mind you I have a weber on mine.  I just noticed that when taking the pics for you that part mounted on the intake where the end of the cable hooks to is a little tweaked.  But does not cause any issues.

 thats a stock bracket on the manifold though? mine dosent look like that. when i get my damn photobucket to work ill post a pic but mines bolted to the farthest right side manifold bolt. so its not right. Im gonna have to get a stock one. Ill post a pic when i can remeber my password haha. thanks

Ok what it is ,  that bracket is just bolted to the other side of the valve cover, i have the right bracket its just not in the right spot , but Im thinking now that my cable isnt right becuse when i move this cable back its not gonna have enough slack will see. of course its starting to rain and i have no garage.

Ok im 99.9 its not the right cable, Im gonna order one up , its definitly been replaced, and i belive with the wrong one, thats why its bolted up the way it is because the stock way wouldnt all this cable to work . who sells stock cables? thanks guys

Accelerator cable I know for a fact Napa does.  I just got one there a month ago.

This bracket should be bolted on like the one on my valve cover.

And yes it does look like you have the wrong throttle cable.

ordered a cable today , 13.96$ + 8$ in shipping from napa, thanks ill post it up here when its all done and pretty thanks again  :ladys-man:

Got the new cable , Everythings great other than the guy at Napa screwed me and told me it was only 13$ come to find out it was 40$ so anyway it fits nice fixed my little binding issue.
